TRAININGS & KITS
The Addiction and Family Research Group offers three types of training opportunities:
1) Behavioral Couples Therapy in Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Treatment: Online Training. In this online training, program participants are offered a choice: you can take it for FREE or, for $35, upon completion you receive 3 CEUs. The training takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.
2) Learning Sobriety Together (LST) Toolkit. The LST toolkit allows you to independently train your staff in BCT and implement the model at your site. To that end, we’ve provided all the supporting materials necessary to train staff, work with clients, and market the program. Just open the box and begin!
3) On-site training and consultation.
For those interested in receiving more formal training, Dr. Fals-Stewart and Dr. Klostermann will provide a 1-day intensive training to staff at your site. The training combines lecture, discussion, video tape review, and role play into a dynamic presentation staff are sure to enjoy. In addition, Drs. Fals-Stewart and Klostermann are also avaible for face-to-face supervision, audio tape review of sessions, and adherence and copetency rating, in which each is considered an expert rater.

Trainings
Thank you for your interest in training possibilities in Behavioral Couples Therapy (BCT). We look forward to the possibility of assisting you in implementing BCT at your site. We currently offer three types of training opportunities: 1) online certification and training; 2) on-site advanced training; and (3) Out-of-the Box kits.
Online Training and Certification:
The Behavioral Couples Therapy in Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Treatment online training program offers a quick, convenient, and easy way to be trained in this empirically supported treatment. You can take the training for FREE or for $35, can receive 3 CEUs and a certificate of completion upon conclusion of the training.
Advanced Training:
The Advanced Training in BCT program is designed to supplement the online training program and includes 8 hours of on-site training from one of the leading researchers in the world. As part of the intensive training, participants will receive instruction on the best ways to translate the techniques and strategies highlighted in the online training into clinical practice. This workshop combines didactic, experiential, and video case material to convey the ideas and techniques. Follow up trainings and phone consultations are also available.

These kits are designed to provide administrators, supervisors, and clinicians all the materials required to independently implement BCT at their sites. Simply stated, in these kits, you will find all the information necessary to train staff, see clients, and promote the program. As such, each kit includes: (1) training materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, video clips of techniques, etc.); (2) clinical tools and assessment instruments (e.g., manuals, workbooks, outcome assessments, and quality assurance measures); and (3) advertising and promotional information (e.g., posters, flyers, and tracking sheets). Just open the box and begin!
Marital/Relationship Educators:
These kits are designed to provide educators with all the materials required to independently implement this marital educational program at their sites. Simply stated, in these kits, you’ll find all the information necessary to implement and promote the program. As such, each kit includes: (1) lecture materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, video clips of techniques, etc.); (2) Educational tools and assessment instruments (e.g., manuals, workbooks, outcome measures); and (3) advertising and promotional information (e.g., posters, flyers, etc).
